Pilsen 2025
Our story in Pilsen
Pilsen is where it all started. The first Consider Science! took place at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University of West Bohemia in December 2023: almost 300 students from 13 schools, 16 talks given by high-school students, a corridor of partner stands and excursions into the faculty’s laboratories.
The second edition in 2024 drew more than 300 students from 17 schools and welcomed the Minister for Science, Research and Innovation. Eighteen young researchers gave twelve talks on topics from artificial intelligence and quantum technologies to nuclear fusion and DNA editing, and the talk by the student team that had won the Conrad Challenge in the USA was a highlight.
In 2025 about 400 participants from more than 40 schools across the country filled the hall. The theme was life, and the excursions led to research centres around the city. Pilsen is still where Consider Science! runs at its largest scale.
