Our story in České Budějovice
České Budějovice joined in May 2026 with the project’s eighth big event, held in the newly renovated Auditorium of the University of South Bohemia. More than 200 students from 30 schools came to two parallel lecture halls, one for the living world and one for the non-living, with talks on subjects from cells under a confocal microscope and nuclear fusion to artificial intelligence, climate change, and dopamine and social media.
The programme was completed by excursions arranged with the Faculty of Science, showing molecular biology, medical chemistry, informatics and plasma physics. The event was led by the local organiser Matyáš Matta.
