Brno 2026
Our story in Brno
Brno picked up the idea in 2024. The first Brno event, in October 2024, had four student speakers in the planetarium, stands of organisations that offer activities for high-school students, and a look at sunspots through the observatory’s telescope.
In March 2025 attendance more than doubled to over 100, so the programme moved into the planetarium’s main dome, with five student talks and five partner institutions presenting. The third edition, in March 2026, brought more than 200 students from 48 schools in ten regions. Student speakers covered everything from ecology and biochemistry to mathematics and astrophysics, and the programme added a chemistry show, partner stands and excursions to local research workplaces.
